Dr. Harlander-Locke is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and has completed fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine. After finishing his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of San Diego, he traveled north to Los Angeles and obtained his Master of Public Health degree from the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. Afterwards, he attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine before completing his internship and residency in Anesthesiology at the Medical College of Georgia. During his final year of residency, he served as Anesthesia Chief Resident. Dr. Harlander-Locke then moved to Colorado to complete his Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at the University of Colorado.

Dr. Harlander-Locke’s fascination with pain began while working with patients in the operating room where he gained experience and saw first-hand the profound impact that pain can have on our mood, quality of life, and overall function. Specializing in Pain Medicine has allowed Dr. Harlander-Locke to work with patients on restoring their ability to do the things they love and that make them happy, something that requires individualized care and attention. His training and experience, coupled with the broad scope of procedures he offers, ensure that his patients are provided with the best opportunity for relief.

Publications & Recognition

Throughout his medical training, Dr. Harlander-Locke has co-authored over 30 original research publications, 2 textbook chapters, and presented at more than 10 regional and national society conferences. Dr. Harlander-Locke was honored for his work ethic, advocacy, and leadership when chosen to serve as Anesthesia Chief Resident during his final year of residency training.

Personal

Dr. Harlander-Locke loves spending time with his family and dogs – whether playing in the yard, swimming, or frolicking in the snow. In addition to leisure activities, his love for the outdoors and constantly challenging himself has led to him to complete numerous ultramarathons and Ironman Triathlon’s. Finishing the Leadville 100 is on his bucket list!
