Therapeutic Sacroiliac Joint Injection

This injection is used in order to provide relief from the pain that accompanies sacroiliac joint dysfunction. In order to reduce pain, a corticosteroid is used along with a numbing medication to help with pain relief by reducing the inflammation in the joint. This injection can be repeated up to 3 times a year if it is successful in relieving the pain for a longer duration. It may also be used along with rehabilitation services or physical therapy in order to help the patient with maintain a normal function.
