A technique that is used in order to achieve decompression of a disc is known as nucleoplasty. A catheter is used that is around 1/20 inch in width in order to make a pathway into one’s disc. A transmitter is then introduced through the catheter to the disc and is then energized so that radio waves are sent to the nucleus of one’s herniated disc. This generates ionized gases that are low-temperature to help break up any nucleus that are spongy, which are partially removed, and the disc bulge is then able to recede.
